In a world of conspiracy theories, alternate facts and fake news it can be difficult for students to separate truth from fiction.
In this workshop we will examine biases, evidence, fallacies (there are more than 20 of them) in order to help students detect baloney and become better critical thinkers. We will have explanations and demonstrations of critical thinking tools, discussions, group thinking exercises, short videos and voting exercises.
